Senior Director, FP&A role at GEICO, a leading auto insurer. This position focuses on enterprise planning, forecasting, performance management, financial strategy, and management reporting. The goal is to shape financial planning and forecasting, translate performance into actionable insights for executive leadership, and deliver financial commitments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own/oversee the operating cadence (annual plan, rolling forecasts, LRP) and ensure consistent and sound methodologies, assumptions, and deliverables.
  2. Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial and operational analysis highlighting key performance metrics, variances, trends, and drivers of financial performance (e.g., loss ratios, expense ratios, combined ratios, premium and policy growth) to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  3. Advise and serve as a business partner to the finance and enterprise leadership teams on business strategy, financial strategy, and performance.
  4. Lead standardized management reporting (KPIs, scorecards, operating reviews) and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and message discipline that enable transparency and accountability.
  5. Lead and develop high-performing FP&A team; set clear priorities, foster collaboration, and drive transformation. set standards for analytical rigor and communication.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 15+ years’ experience in strategic financial data analysis
  • 10 years developing and leading a team in the insurance industry
