Senior Director, Medical Affairs for IPN (Immunology/Pulmonary Hypertension/Neuroscience) in Japan. This role leads a team responsible for medical strategy development, execution of medical and scientific activities, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires deep insight into therapeutic areas, knowledge of the Japan market, and people management experience. The role ensures compliance with Japan Legislation and HCC rules.

What you'd actually do

  1. The Senior Director, Medical Affairs will lead a critical function for the operating company by supporting multiple products, reporting directly into the VP, Head of Medical Affairs Japan.
  2. The Senior Director, Medical Affairs will be an expert in medical strategy development and will lead a group of TA Leads to develop overall strategy for TA under his/her supervision with a goal to address medical and scientific issues and to ensure the appropriate use of all relevant J&J Medical Affairs supported products.
  3. The Senior Director, Medical Affairs will lead TA Leads to supervise and ensure the smooth execution of all the medical and scientific activities including insight seeking & advisory boards, MSL engagements, medical educations, evidence generation and publications.
  4. The Senior Director, Medical Affairs will identify and devise strategies to address crucial gaps using critical relationships across Medical Affairs, Regional & Global Medical Affairs, R&D, Business Units, IMAT, and others.
  5. Responsible and accountable for Medical Affairs strategy of therapeutic area (TA) and medical performance including compounds/product development/business plans.
