Senior Director of Business Finance

Suno Suno · Multimodal · New York, NY · Finance

This role is for a Senior Director of Business Finance at Suno, an AI music company. The finance function is described as an operating function, responsible for owning the financial operating system, translating strategy into P&Ls, managing planning and operating cadences, and serving as a finance business partner to GTM, Engineering, Product, and G&A teams. The role involves leading a small team and building the financial foundation of a rapidly scaling company.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own functional P&L management across all opex and serve as the trusted finance business partner to every functional lead across GTM, Engineering, Product, and G&A — because helping a generational creative entertainment company understand what it can afford to build starts with giving every team a clear, current picture of their numbers
  2. Run the annual planning process end-to-end — headcount planning cycles, templates, calendars, and working sessions — in close coordination with Corporate Finance who sets the overall envelope
  3. Drive the monthly and quarterly operating cadence, including QBRs, variance analysis, and the financial narratives that help leadership make fast, well-grounded decisions
  4. Lead procurement strategy and vendor management, ensuring Suno spends with discipline as the company scales
