Senior Director - Oncology and Peripheral Imaging Clinical Development

This role is for a Senior Director in Oncology and Peripheral Imaging Clinical Development at Eli Lilly. The primary focus is on leading the clinical development of imaging strategies for oncology, immunology, and cardiometabolic diseases, spanning early to late-phase trials. While the role involves evaluating AI in imaging, its core function is in clinical research and development within the healthcare domain, not in building or shipping AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design and execution of integrated clinical development programs for oncology and peripheral imaging across early and late-phase development.
  2. Define clinical strategies, endpoints, patient populations, and imaging criteria for each phase of development.
  3. Design studies to evaluate diagnostic accuracy, optimal imaging timing, patient selection biomarkers, and comparative performance versus standard‑of‑care imaging.
  4. Serve as a scientific expert in oncology imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, and emerging theranostic platforms.
  5. Analyze and interpret molecular imaging data (e.g., PET/CT, SPECT/CT), including tumor localization, tracer biodistribution, dosimetry considerations, and longitudinal response assessment. Evaluate and interpret imaging biomarkers for patient stratification, response assessment, and disease monitoring across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
