This role is for a Senior Director of Operational Rhythm and Performance Management within Microsoft's Small Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C) organization. The role focuses on defining, implementing, and managing the business's operational rhythms to monitor and accelerate performance. It involves partnering with leadership to identify opportunities, drive discussions, and ensure best practice sharing. The team leads commercial strategy, planning, and the rhythm of business (RoB) to coordinate improvements across revenue, investments, resource design, and go-to-market strategies, ultimately supporting sales leaders in running, measuring, and gaining insights from their businesses. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational rigor to deliver cohesive changes and experiences for the field.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead an RoB team that will drive the FY27 ROB process for all SME&C – Corporate, SMB and Channel.
  2. Design an ROB process that drives insights and actions from Managers, to Segment leaders through to Global leadership
  3. Establish an operating model that brings predictability, streamlines execution to drive efficiencies and results in clear expectations for every ROB cycle.
  4. Ensure insightful data and clarity on monthly prioritization of discussion topics that align to the needs of the business.
  5. Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement year over year and deliver against in-quarter agility when needed

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
  • 6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of Finance, Sales Excellence or Business Planning experience.
  • Systems Thinker. Ability to design connection points to drive insights and actions from managers through to global leadership
  • Operational Rigor. Ability to design workback plans that bring clarity and seek efficiencies to minimize operational burden and give back time to customer facing engagements.
