Senior Director, Solution Engineering

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Solution Engineering to lead a team of 50+ Solution Engineers and frontline leaders. This role focuses on shaping how Salesforce helps customers succeed in the era of the Agentic Enterprise, driving technical excellence and AI-led innovation. The candidate will engage with customer executives, present AI vision, and partner with sales leadership to align technical strategy with business goals. The role requires an operator, builder, and innovator who can scale teams, modernize Solution Engineering practices, and guide customers from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide execution, leveraging AI-enabled workflows and analytics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a multi-layered organization of frontline managers and individual contributors. Drive the health, performance, development, and operational excellence of a 50+ person team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, curiosity, and customer obsession.
  2. Serve as a technical sponsor and strategic advisor on high-priority customer engagements. Provide executive-level business and technical credibility on complex customer conversations by translating Salesforce innovation into clear business outcomes through compelling presentations, storytelling, and vision-setting.
  3. Act as an executive-facing leader with customers, representing Salesforce at key meetings, workshops, QBRs, and strategic engagements. Develop compelling narratives, presentations, and thought leadership content that help customers understand the art of the possible with AI, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and the Salesforce platform.
  4. Design, pilot, and scale repeatable sales plays, technical engagement models, and AI-enabled workflows that improve customer engagement and field productivity.
  5. Serve as a trusted partner to Sales leadership by aligning technical resources to priority opportunities, improving execution rigor, and providing visibility into deal progression, customer priorities, and technical blockers.
