Senior Electrical Architect, Connected Warfare

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Connected Warfare

Senior Electrical Architect role at Anduril, a defense technology company. The role focuses on defining and shaping the electrical architecture for advanced defense systems, bridging systems engineering and electrical engineering. Responsibilities include leading architectural definition, conducting trades, translating CONOPS into requirements, allocating functions to modules, and guiding PCB and harnessing teams. Requires a strong background in electrical engineering, systems architecture, communication protocols, embedded systems hardware, and full-cycle PCB/harnessing design, with a track record of releasing products to production. DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the definition and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable electrical architectures for complex product lines.
  2. Conduct architectural trades, balancing performance, manufacturing feasibility, and future scalability.
  3. Bridge the gap between traditional Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering by translating high-level CONOPS into detailed electrical requirements and functional modules.
  4. Allocate functions to specific electrical modules and subsystems, defining constraints, interfaces, and communications protocols.
  5. Flow module and subsystem information to PCB design and harnessing teams to guide designs in line with the overarching electrical architecture.
