This role is for a Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for the design, layout, and integration of electrical systems for custom power and control products in an AI infrastructure company. The role involves creating electrical design deliverables, confirming material accuracy, performing electrical calculations, and evaluating manufacturing processes. It requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience, strong knowledge of NEC and low-voltage power distribution systems, and proficiency in CAD software.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for electrical design deliverables on a variety of projects and solutions such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, submittal packages, and bills of materials.
  2. Confirm accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, including the review of vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy.
  3. Perform branch circuits and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment, as well as specifying and sizing components.
  4. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Work with the Production, Procurement, Project Management, and Sales teams on continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment
  • Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Solid knowledge of the design, building, and maintenance of low voltage (600 volts and below) power distribution systems
  • Solid knowledge to perform load calculations on machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A
  • Solid knowledge of Office-based software systems
  • Solid knowledge of computer-aided design (ACADE) and to design and document electrical schematics and power distribution systems
  • Solid knowledge of the principles of machine engineering and the building of production and other equipment
  • Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and control panel builders
  • Solid skills working with, and knowledge of the use of all electrical test equipment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams
  • Ability to inspect the quality of work performed for flaws and mistakes
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner on several projects at the same time
  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
