Senior Electrical Engineer role at RTX focusing on electronics product development for defense applications. Responsibilities include design, analysis, validation, and testing of digital and analog circuits, FPGA-based designs, and power conversion circuitry. Requires experience with circuit design tools, signal integrity analysis, and electronic product testing. Must have or be able to obtain a US government security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advanced digital interface design, and FPGA-based circuit designs, including high speed digital design, DAC and ADC interfaces, DDR3/4/5 interfaces, various Ethernet copper and optical interfaces. Low power bias power conversion circuitry, and some medium power power conversion circuitry design conversion circuit designs.
  2. Program level design support. The role may include REA (Responsible Engineering Authority) oversight, will include some RVS program level bidding and proposal development.
  3. Schematic generation, component parts selection, and component specification generation.
  4. Circuit card layout using ECAD design and layout tools required, and layout design verification tools.
  5. Design to applications that will/may have Mil-Std-461 EMI/EMC requirements imposed.
