Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead full-cycle PCB design, fuzing circuitry development for missile systems, and collaboration with vehicle development teams. The role involves schematic design, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, testing, debugging, and integration. Responsibilities also include developing system interconnect diagrams, defining wire harnesses, providing subsystem support, vendor evaluation, design reviews, low-level firmware development, and root cause analysis. The position requires a BS or higher in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, competence with test equipment, familiarity with standard interfaces and common electronic devices, knowledge of analog and digital electronics, experience with CAD tools, and design for signal/power integrity. Experience with MIL-STD standards and explosive operations is preferred. The role requires eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
  2. Development of fuzing circuitry for missile systems.
  3. Closely collaborate with vehicle development teams to design, document, and produce tailored fuzing systems and effectors.
  4. Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the vehicle.
  5. Provide support and collaborate within other air vehicle subsystem development constraints.

Skills

Required

  • BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
  • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies
  • Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits
  • Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable)
  • Experience in design for signal integrity / power integrity
  • Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel as required for testing (surges up to 25%)

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. security clearance (DoD Secret or Top-Secret or DOE L or Q)
  • 5-10 years’ work experience as an individual contributing engineer, focused on electrical design, analysis, and testing of fuzing and/or ordnance systems
  • Understanding of DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160 and relevant avionics design standards for UAS
  • Familiarity with electrical component suppliers
  • Experience in UAS, missiles, or maritime programs
  • Experience with the DoD Weapons Safety Boards
  • Experience designing and scaling production of components at volume
  • Experience developing or testing complex electrical systems
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105
