Senior Electrical Engineer, Surface Maritime

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Maritime & Maneuver Dominance : Surface Dominance - Engineering & Operations : Electrical Engineering

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building autonomous maritime systems. This Senior Electrical Engineer role focuses on designing, integrating, and testing electrical subsystems for these systems, including power, sensors, and networking. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering principles, schematic design, troubleshooting, and experience with electronic CAD tools and test equipment. Experience with autonomous systems and PCB design is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop electrical schematics, power system single line diagrams, system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within a subsystem and between subsystems
  2. Design electrical interfaces and enclosures for integration of sensors, and peripheral equipment with autonomous systems
  3. Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both test equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic software debugging tools
  4. Develop subsystems (sensors, interfaces, power management, and networking) for bespoke capabilities
  5. Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products
