Senior Electrical R&d Test Engineer

Saronic · Defense · Austin, TX · Engineering

This role is for a Senior Electrical R&D Test Engineer focused on developing and testing electro-mechanical systems for autonomous vehicles. The engineer will be involved in the full lifecycle from concept to prototype, including design, build, integration, and testing, with a focus on electrical and system-level issues. While the role involves analyzing datasets for trends and failures, it does not involve building or shipping AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understanding the technical requirements, problems, or client briefs and developing solutions that satisfy the requirements.
  2. Engage in engineering, designing, prototype development, and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and software for autonomous vehicles and related devices and subsystems.
  3. Apply engineering principles, best practices, and analysis in areas including mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software.
  4. Conducting applied research, documenting findings, and presenting reports.
  5. Develop design documents for parts, sub-systems, and final integrated systems.
