This role is for a Senior Employment Counsel at Harvey, an AI company focused on transforming legal and professional services. The counsel will provide day-to-day advice on U.S. and international employment law matters, develop policies and training, manage investigations and litigation, draft agreements, and support immigration and other corporate legal matters. The role requires a Juris Doctor, five years of experience in Employment Law, including experience in-house at a high-growth tech company, and knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment law.

What you'd actually do

  1. Providing day-to-day counselling to the People team and other business partners on a range of U.S. and international employment law matters (e.g., performance management, terminations, accommodations, wage-and-hour compliance, leaves of absence, contingent workforce matters, and employee relations).
  2. Developing, implementing, and continuously improving scalable employment policies, handbooks, and training programs that support a growing global workforce.
  3. Partnering with People team on internal investigations and manage employment litigation.
  4. Drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements (e.g., offer letters, separation agreements, and contractor agreements).
  5. Supporting all immigration matters; and Contributing to other corporate legal matters (e.g., global expansion and strategic transactions).
