Senior Engagement Owner for Quality and Patient Safety team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at Oracle Health. This role leads engagements, manages project portfolios, and ensures alignment of quality and patient safety initiatives with client expectations and contractual commitments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Quality & Patient Safety engagements from initiation through completion across national, market, and local deployment activities.
  2. Serve as the primary project manager for the QPS team, coordinating timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and resources across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  3. Own and maintain engagement plans that align QPS activities with broader Oracle Health deployment and engagement management timelines.
  4. Act as the primary liaison between the QPS organization and broader Oracle Health Engagement Management teams to ensure alignment, communication, and execution.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with VA stakeholders, market leadership, site leadership, Oracle Health leadership, and cross-functional delivery teams.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Health Informatics, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare technology, healthcare consulting, healthcare operations, quality improvement, patient safety, project management, program management, or client engagement leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to lead client-facing engagements and establish trusted relationships with executive, operational, clinical, and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, resource management, risk management, issue resolution, and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing contractual obligations, performance work statements, deliverables, resource forecasts, and financial accountability.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive accountability, and execute effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal security requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), federal healthcare organizations, or large government healthcare programs.
  • Experience with Oracle Health, Cerner, or enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations and deployments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement, patient safety programs, clinical governance, accreditation standards, and performance measurement.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, CPHQ, CPPS, Prosci, or similar certification.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale healthcare transformation, readiness, deployment, optimization, or change management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operational workflows, clinical informatics, patient safety methodologies, and performance improvement frameworks.
  • Experience developing engagement methodologies, governance models, or operational processes within consulting or healthcare organizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and related project management tools.
