This role focuses on developing and implementing algorithms for engine performance condition trend monitoring, anomaly detection, and maintenance forecasting. It involves data analysis, machine learning techniques, and creating predictive models within a relational database structure, primarily for the aerospace and defense industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support development and implementation of advanced engine performance condition trend monitoring algorithms for all P&WC engine types and models
  2. Perform aero-thermodynamic cycle analysis and make aircraft engine performance trend predictions by creating deterioration models and simulations
  3. Investigate system level issues related to aircraft gas turbine engine design, performance, operability and operation
  4. Generate algorithms that normalize engine data to a consistent operating condition for trending
  5. Develop and implement scripts, algorithms, machine learning, data clustering and fault classification techniques within a relational database structure
