Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design

This role focuses on the mechanical design and development of medical technology products and components. It involves planning, conceptualizing, creating, and verifying mechanical designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements. The position requires expertise in mechanical engineering principles, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for New Products and/or Installed Base mechanical components & subsystems using Mechanical Engineering principles.
  2. Create & review engineering drawings, understand GD&T principles, tolerance stack-up analysis, material selection & selection of manufacturing processes
  3. Develop test plans & perform testing and verification of designs, perform engineering calculations to support design work and lead technical design reviews
  4. Collaborate with cross functional teams and work with suppliers & contractors
  5. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
