Senior Engineering Lead, Organizational Engineering Agent Platform, Deepmind

Google Google · Big Tech · London, United Kingdom

Lead an engineering team building an agent platform for an AI-first organization, focusing on orchestration, tool use, and sandboxing. This role involves significant technical contribution (30-50% coding) and team leadership, aiming to scale intelligent workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, build, and maintain the Agent Platform, to ensure high-quality delivery. Lead on critical systems, ensuring the platform is high-quality, scalable, and reduces toil across functional lines.
  2. Develop and communicate a technical strategy that addresses orchestration, tool-use infra, and sandboxing.
  3. Invest in growth of the SWE team, providing coaching and feedback while fostering a culture of technical excellence and "AI-first" innovation.
  4. Act as the primary technical point-of-contact for teams building on the platform and navigate upstream dependencies across Google and GDM to remove barriers to productivity.
  5. Lead the team through GDM’s pivot toward an innovation center, ensuring work aligns with the broader mission of scaling intelligent workflows across the organization.
