Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Special Projects Dallas (SPD) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the multi-disciplined team of engineers responsible for structural design, production engineering, production improvements, shipside support, and affordability in Berkley, MO. This position reports to the SPD Chief Program Engineer.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering support to the AAS Special Mission Pod production contract and the SPD sustainment subcontract.
- Ensures that the team has the proper skills, tools, processes, and resources needed to execute Statement of Work tasks.
- Collaborates with the Production Operations, Quality, Supplier-Management, Business and Program-Management teams.
- Develops and maintains outstanding relationships with external customers is essential.
- Builds and sustains a high-performing team.
- Develops plans, supports proposals, and executes major cost reduction initiatives.
- Responds rapidly to emerging technical needs in the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) pod production factory and in the fleet is imperative.
- Excellent communication skills and ensures that external customers and executive leadership are well informed.
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkley, MO. **
**This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). **(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
- An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions**.**
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
- 5+ years of experience managing development programs from requirements definition through design, qualification, fielding, and support.

Summary pay range:
L Level Manager $170,000 – $230,000
