Senior Engineering Manager - Enablement

Honeycomb Honeycomb · Enterprise · United States · Remote · Engineering

Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Enablement team, focusing on equipping Honeycomb to innovate quickly and safely. This includes owning developer feedback loops (CI/CD, testing, tooling) and leading the incubation of AI-assisted engineering, particularly with the 'Autobots' platform of autonomous agents. The role requires experience in leading enablement teams, understanding AI tooling, and driving organizational change, with a focus on measuring developer productivity and satisfaction.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the developer feedback loops — the CI/CD, testing, dependency management, and tooling that let the whole org ship faster and more safely.
  2. Lead AI-partnered development — incubate what the next chapter of AI-assisted engineering looks like at Honeycomb, for both human engineers and agents, and how observability plays into it.
  3. Prove the ROI — define and track the developer-productivity and satisfaction metrics that give leadership confidence in the team's impact.
  4. Lead change across the org — bring engineers inside and outside your team along, helping them welcome change rather than resist it.
  5. Grow the team — support engineers and your manager community First Team through 1:1s, career development, and feedback loops.
