Boeing is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Management professional to manage the product life cycle for software engineering projects within their Battlespace & Simulation Management (BSM) organization. This role involves project management, EVM, performance monitoring, business analysis, and agile leadership (Scrum Master/Product Owner) for training devices for commercial and military aircraft. The position requires strong communication, agile practices, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering quality results in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical, business, and integration leadership to software engineering projects
  2. Support proposal development and lead engineering execution by identifying activities, resources, and tasks required to complete the work statement
  3. Maintain Earned Value Management Metrics and manage project performance to plan
  4. Partner with the Product Owner or other Technical Leads to support product backlog definition, refinement, and prioritization to feed sprint cycles
  5. Participate in and lead Community of Proactive (CoP) meetings and drive process improvements across the organization

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • 3+ years of experience acting in Agile leadership roles of Project Manager, Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified SAFe Scrum Master
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering and/or engineering project management
