Senior Engineering Technician

This role is for a Senior Engineering Technician in Supply Chain Manufacturing, focusing on Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance. Responsibilities include supporting engineers, operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, performing diagnostics and repairs, ensuring calibration of tools, and supporting installation and validation processes. The role requires knowledge of electronics, mechanics, or related fields, and experience with maintenance, calibration, and quality systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides support to Principal Technicians or Engineers in matters related to the discipline.
  2. Initiates, adjusts, and operates basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  3. Performs basic operational diagnostics tests, solves problems and disconnects components, subassemblies and manufacturing systems, processes and equipment with the purpose of isolating the failures, determine a solution and perform the necessary operations. Documents all the changes.
  4. Ensures that the tools and testing equipment are properly calibrated and repaired, according to the standardized operations procedures.
  5. Provides support in the installation and validation processes of equipment required in the assigned area.

Skills

Required

  • Knowledge and skills to satisfactorily develop the responsibilities of the position.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience preferably related to the position.
  • High School, technical career or equivalent.
  • Basic ability to read and understand technical documentation associated to the specific discipline.
  • Ability to use computers and related software.
  • Ability to use measuring and testing equipment associated with the specific discipline.
  • Ability to successfully complete the departmental / corporate training courses in manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to use the internal documentation change system (CPDM

Nice to have

  • Preferably trained in two or more of the following disciplines: electronics, mechanics, production, electro-mechanics, testing, quality and production and process statistical control, bio-medics or industrial.
  • Desirable experience (current or previous) in the medical products industry.
  • Desirable 60% English.
  • GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) / ISO knowledge, preferably.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, calibration procedures and quality systems, preferably.
  • Knowledge of the Campus information systems, preferably.
  • Basic knowledge of programming (SQL) and basic knowledge of digital systems.
