What you'd actually do

  1. Build and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for outbound transportation costs
  2. Conduct financial analysis for last mile network to optimize cost-to-serve — including evaluating volume rebalancing across service areas and carriers, analyzing cost implications of alternative last mile delivery models (e.g., e-bikes, island deliveries), and assessing the economics of scaling capacity through asset-light models vs. owned infrastructure
  3. Support business case development and investment analysis for transportation network initiatives, including capacity expansion and carrier strategy
  4. Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets; produce plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations across planning cycles
  5. Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports that surface cost drivers, risks, and opportunities for business partners

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Nice to have

  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Knowledge of and experience applying Generative AI tools to accelerate financial analysis, automate reporting workflows, or enhance decision-making (e.g., using AI-assisted modeling, natural language querying of data, or AI-powered scenario analysis)
