Senior Finance Manager - Accounting role focused on building and refining finance processes, particularly in revenue operations, finance tools/infrastructure implementation, and tax operations management. Responsibilities include executing critical finance deliverables, building revenue recognition processes compliant with ASC 606, analyzing customer contracts, providing guidance on SKU creation, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, monitoring and optimizing finance processes, and aiding in acquisition integrations. The role also involves building a finance data warehouse by translating data requirements into data models, defining user interfaces, and ensuring data quality. Additionally, it requires interfacing with external tax advisors for tax compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and operationalize revenue recognition processes; compliant with the ClickHouse ASC 606 Policy; to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with applicable accounting guidelines;
  2. Analyze key customer contracts to proactively determine revenue recognition requirements and process;
  3. Provide guidance on SKU creation, including tax classification, revenue recognition treatment;
  4. Prepare and review complex journal entries and revenue account reconciliations as part of the monthly close cycle;
  5. Monitor and optimize existing finance processes, working with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance;

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years experience in accounting
  • 3+ years experience in revenue recognition
  • Proficient in Excel/G-Sheets
  • building dashboards/reporting for executive presentation
  • Deep knowledge of software accounting business standards
