Senior Financial Analyst role focused on financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for Compensation and Benefits spend within a Global Center of Excellence (COE). Responsibilities include forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and supporting business partners with financial insights and ad hoc tasks. Requires strong analytical skills, MS Excel proficiency, and experience with financial systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supporting the month end close process from an FP&A perspective with variance analysis focusing on C&B P&L
  2. Performing detailed reviews of actual spend with finance business partners and budget holders.
  3. Summarizing key findings to support discussions and decision which aim to improve business unit / regional profitability.
  4. Assisting in the production of the monthly cost forecast submission and updating of related systems
  5. Supporting the annual budget process, including the design of templates, the critical review of planning assumptions and the creation and analysis of business cases

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of working experience preferably with experience in FP&A department
  • Deep understanding of forecasting and budgeting process
  • General accounting knowledge (accruals, prepayments, costs recognition)
  • Excellent analytical skills and key to details
  • Strong MS Excel (power query, power pivot) & PowerPoint skills
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication.
  • Strong IT affinity to drive required digital agenda in FP&A (EPM ie. Hyperion, SAP BPC, SAP Analysis, BI tools ie. Power BI).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key metrics would be an asset
  • CA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired
  • Assured self-starter on relevant projects and work is a plus.
  • Pro-active and hands-on
  • Prior transition experience is a plus.
