Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leading global cloud computing platform, and we're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Finance organization. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of sales pipeline analysis and revenue forecasting.
Your work will inform how AWS's most senior leaders evaluate financial performance and assess the health of our global sales pipeline. You will partner with a Principal Finance Manager. This role provides a rare opportunity to operate above the typical level of visibility for a Senior Financial Analyst. You'll be translating sales pipeline data into actionable signals that shape revenue guidance and operating plan development.
You will model relationships between pipeline inputs and realized revenue outcomes, build mechanisms that track conversion dynamics across segments and time horizons, and develop analytical frameworks that help leadership distinguish predictive signals from noise. Your analyses will support revenue forecasting.
This role requires comfort with ambiguity, intellectual curiosity about sales and revenue dynamics, and the ability to synthesize internal datasets into a coherent analytical narrative. You will develop a deep understanding of AWS's revenue engine, pipeline economics, and sales motion.
Key job responsibilities • Analyze AWS sales pipeline data to identify predictive revenue signals.
• Build and maintain reporting mechanisms that track pipeline-to-revenue conversion rates across segments, geographies, and deal types.
• Develop sensitivity analyses and scenario models that quantify revenue outcomes under varying pipeline assumptions.
• Build automated, GenAI-powered reporting and analysis workflows that accelerate pipeline insight generation, including engineering and iterating on AI prompts to ensure outputs consistently meet executive-level standards for accuracy and relevance.
• Prepare summaries, charts, tables, and FAQ-style documents.
A day in the life In this role, you will analyze AWS sales pipeline data to isolate predictive revenue signals from noise, supporting revenue forecasting. You will build and refine models that connect pipeline dynamics to financial outcomes, and prepare executive-ready materials that inform leadership decisions.
You will have visibility to the AWS Finance Directors and support Sales Finance and Sales Operations teams.
