Senior Financial Analyst - Hardware Engineering

This role is for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting NVIDIA's Global Research and Advanced Technology organizations. The analyst will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic investment planning, partnering with researchers and engineering leaders across various domains including AI. The role involves leveraging AI and automation tools for financial processes and reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end financial planning and analysis for NVIDIA’s Global Research and Advanced Technology organizations, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, headcount planning, variance analysis, and long-range strategic investment planning.
  2. Support financial oversight of pioneering engineering investments, including next-generation silicon technologies, memory innovation, wafer fab qualifications, technology feasibility studies, and long-term R&D initiatives.
  3. Partner closely with world-class researchers and engineering leaders across AI, robotics, graphics, autonomous systems, and quantum computing to evaluate strategic opportunities, prioritize investments, and align financial resources with NVIDIA’s innovation roadmap.
  4. Lead planning and financial management of global lab, infrastructure, and equipment investments for the Hardware Engineering organization, ensuring capacity and capability are aligned with near-term execution and long-term silicon roadmap requirements.
  5. Leverage advanced technologies including AI, automation, and data visualization platforms such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, Databricks, Alteryx, Power BI, Python, and SQL to enhance financial processes and strengthen decision-making capabilities.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably within a global high tech or manufacturing organization
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling and data analytics
  • Proficiency with tools or programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar
  • Experience applying AI-driven productivity and analytics tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex or equivalent technologies
  • Exceptional business partnership, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence senior team members, and thrive in a highly dynamic environment

Nice to have

  • MBA preferred
  • Semiconductor and/or manufacturing experience in Tech
  • Genuine curiosity in STEM and eagerness to learn new things
  • Strong understanding of industry technology and market dynamics in areas directly related to NVIDIA’s products, research and development
