Senior Financial Analyst role at Johnson & Johnson supporting Innovative Medicine R&D Finance for Oncology Therapeutic Area. Responsibilities include financial leadership, analysis of early and late-stage development compounds, managing financial updates, pipeline valuation, and supporting cross-pharmaceutical portfolio reviews and external innovation projects. Requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a degree in Accounting or Finance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively partner with Compound Development Teams (CDT) and Project Management Teams (PMT) to align financial targets, analyze the value of project investments, and address business issues
  2. Manage all aspects of financial updates including Business Plan and Long Range Financial Plan and ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly forecasting and closing cycles
  3. Pipeline valuation models for their compounds, which includes partnering with CDT/PMT, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations and Tax
  4. Support of Cross-Pharmaceutical Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation support to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical R&D, Operations and Strategic Marketing organization
  5. Partner with Business Development in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of three (3) years finance or related business experience
  • Excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think creatively and work in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively take on leadership roles
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recommend and implement process improvements
