Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Analyst to support the implementation of high-value business initiatives and strategic partner launches. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and scalability. Responsibilities include defining business requirements, liaising with business development teams, leading User Acceptance Testing (FUAT), and explaining financial concepts to non-financial partners. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of audit/accounting operations experience, and advanced Excel skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support implementation efforts of high-value business initiatives and strategic partner launches
  2. Work as part of a cross-functional team on the design and implementation of effective and efficient financial operations
  3. Ensure initiatives and enhancements are delivered with sound financial operation processes and accurate financials by proactively defining business requirements for business owners and partners
  4. Liaise with business development teams and partners from the onset of negotiations to understand their needs and implement end-to-end financial operations and solutions, providing input to ensure timely and successful delivery
  5. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners by listening and understanding their needs and concerns and factoring those into the end solution

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
  • 3+ years of progressive audit and/or accounting operations experience
  • Proven ability to handle concurrent tasks and deliver against competing priorities
  • Innovative problem solver with ability to recommend solutions to address complex problems
  • Receptive and adaptive to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience building reports with complex formulas and comfortable handling large data sets
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
