Senior Fpga Engineer, Space

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · AFS : Space Engineering : Electrical Engineering

This role is for a Senior FPGA/SoC Engineer at Anduril, a defense technology company. The engineer will develop FPGA/SoC firmware for space-based products, including architecture, RTL generation, and debug. Responsibilities include rapid development, integration of third-party IP, digital circuit design, and full design lifecycle participation. The role requires 5 years of FPGA/HDL experience, proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, and familiarity with Xilinx SoCs and design software. Experience with SoC hardware bring-up and safety-critical functions is preferred. The company emphasizes its AI-powered operating system and advanced technology for military applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Rapidly develop, test, and implement FPGA designs using Xilinx SoC/FPGA.
  2. Integrate third-party vendors IP, as necessary.
  3. Work with third-party developers to ensure timely product success
  4. Perform digital circuit design, VHDL/Verilog coding, synthesis, place and route, timing closure, simulation, and verification.
  5. Participate in entire design life cycle: from requirements and concept, through design and hand on testing/board bring up.
