Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in React (frontend) and Node.js or Java (backend) to design, build, and scale modern web applications. This role requires a hands-on senior engineer with deep technical expertise who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building high-quality, performant, and maintainable software. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions that power critical business capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications
- Build responsive, high-performance UI components using React
- Develop robust backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Java (Spring Boot preferred)
- Architect RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior engineers
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code with strong test coverage
- Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
- Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in React (Hooks, Context API, state management libraries like Redux/Zustand)
- Strong backend experience with Node.js (Express/Nest JS) and/or Java (Spring Boot)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of data modelling and experience with databases
- Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, SSO)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms - AWS
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of system design and scalable architecture
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
