Job Description
Software Engineer Senior Consultant II implements applications following 12-factor principles to build out the product and iterative enhancements. They own the full stack of software products, developing and implementing frontends (web or mobile), and backend services. They leverage test driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality of products. They actively participate in the decision-making process of the team ensuring that the simplest appropriate technology and design is chosen to meet user needs.
SquareTrade / Allstate Protection Plan (APP) operate globally in the general and specialized insurance arenas. Technial support for their operations is provided by a globally centralized team which sets strategy and provides some level of direct support. Specialized teams for specific services and platforms are globally located in places such as Brazil, India, Costa Rica , Philippines and Viet Nam. These are managed by the centralized technology structure.

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong background in cloud technologies and database management. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with local, regional and global teams and contribute to our DevOps-driven development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides input into the architecture and design of the product; collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way
- Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building product
- Participates in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind
- Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stack
- Coaches more junior team members around different technologies and XP practices
- Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices
- Provides support for software products in user environments
- Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups
- Participates in daily stand-up meetings with teams across the globe to ensure alignment and progress and retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product
- Participates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team’s backlog
- Provide timely updates for assigned tasks in DevOps to maintain transparency and accountability
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks: ReactJS and Angular
- Strong programming experience with C#
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with Microsoft Azure Web Apps
- Dual capability with AWS development and delivery beneficial
- At least 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities verbally, written and for presentations
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
