Senior Galley & Galley Insert Design Engineer at Boeing, responsible for the full customer introduction lifecycle of interior monuments, galleys, and galley inserts. This includes technical definition, feasibility studies, configuration development, design validation, and verification to meet customer, regulatory, and Boeing requirements. The role involves establishing technical direction, managing integrated schedules, prioritizing tasks, mitigating risks, collaborating cross-functionally, and supporting supplier design and production activities. The engineer will also develop and implement improved design processes and explore emerging technology concepts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the full customer introduction lifecycle for Interior Monuments, Galley and Galley Inserts, including technical definition, feasibility studies, configuration development, design validation and verification to meet customer, regulatory, and Boeing requirements.
  2. Establish technical direction and manage integrated schedules, prioritize tasks to drive project success, mitigate risks, collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues in design and interface as well as verification, and support recovery efforts throughout the program.
  3. Manage supplier design, testing, and production activities, ensuring integration and delivery align with program schedules and quality standards.
  4. Support global stakeholder engagement and provide production and post-delivery support to ensure program success.
  5. Develop and implement improved design processes, tools, and keep an eye on emerging technology concepts to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering) or higher degree in engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace industry, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity (including development and execution of schedule milestones, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management)

Nice to have

  • Extensive experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, as well as with design criteria, certification (EASA CS-25 and / or FAA Title 14 Part 25) and production or maintenance processes (EASA Part 21G and / or EASA Part-145).
  • Experience with aircraft interior design/modification programs with a high level of attention to detail and capability to review design packages.
  • Good knowledge of equipment qualification requirements, e.g. CS-ETSO/FAA TSO.
  • Experienced in leading complex projects including influencing team members and stakeholders (suppliers, customers, solution providers) involved and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff.
  • Solid expertise with Catia V5 / V6, ENOVIA, IVT.
