Senior Global Sourcing Manager, Indirect (professional Services)

This role is for a Senior Global Sourcing Manager focused on Indirect Professional Services within a defense technology company that develops AI-powered systems. The primary responsibility is to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs for professional services, partnering with various internal teams like Engineering, IT, Finance, and Legal. The role requires experience in supply chain commodity management and aims to improve technologies, cost, and quality of services and products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute strategies for Professional Services commodities, focusing on cost optimization, contract standardization, scalability, risk mitigation, and supply chain resilience.
  2. End-to-end sourcing responsibility from requirements gathering and RFI/RFQ/RFP management to supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
  3. Act as the sourcing expert for the Professional Services commodity.
  4. Serve as Anduril’s subject matter expert for sourcing analysis, renewals, and commercial negotiations.
  5. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Finance, Legal, and more to define requirements, ensure compliance, and align procurement with technical and business needs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management of Professional Services
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry
  • Well-versed in TCO analysis to ensure data-driven analytics tied to component and supplier selection, in a product-based ecosystem
  • Strategic thinker, experienced putting together commodities strategy/roadmap with key engineering stakeholders
  • Proven leadership in driving and influencing other teams to a common goal. You know how to effectively communicate and collaborate cross functionally and with all levels within an organization
  • Can wear different hats and it a strong team player to help your team move forward.
  • You are fluent in other cross functional areas to fill gaps and remove roadblocks when needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
