Senior Global Supply Manager, Chassis Structures

This role is for a Senior Global Supply Manager responsible for the end-to-end sourcing strategy and lifecycle management for Rivian's vehicle programs, specifically Chassis Structures. The role involves driving competitive bid processes, negotiating commercial terms, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure procurement efficiency and protect the company's financial and production interests.

What you'd actually do

  1. Concurrently lead projects with medium to large vehicle spend for Chassis Structures, supporting the execution of a multi-generational vehicle strategy.
  2. Drive the competitive bid process and lead manager-level reviews with leadership oversight.
  3. Effectively use supply chain systems to support business needs, including placing RFI/RFPs and purchase orders timely and accurately.
  4. Lead supplier prospecting and drive a commodity strategy that supports the vehicle program.
  5. Negotiate most commercial terms and LTAs with some legal involvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Specific negotiation and technical experience for the assigned commodity
  • Understands cost estimation models to identify risk
  • Commodity experience in Chassis structural components (subframes, control arms, links, bushings, ball joints)
  • Proficient in SAP, Basecamp, and using cost estimating outputs to close should-cost gaps
  • Professional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to defuse conflicts and provide feedback to peers
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope, evaluating identifiable factors to find solutions and exercising good judgment
  • Comfortable receiving general instructions on new assignments and managing day-to-day work with independence
