Senior Global Supply Manager for semiconductors at Rivian, responsible for end-to-end sourcing strategy, lifecycle management, competitive bidding, cost gap negotiation, and supplier relationship management for vehicle programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Concurrently lead projects with medium to large vehicle spend for semiconductor components - spanning Processing (MCUs), Power & Analog (SiC/FETs, PMICs, Data Converters), Networking (Ethernet/CAN/SerDes), and Sensors, supporting the execution of a multi-generational vehicle strategy.
  2. Drive the competitive bid process and lead manager-level reviews with leadership oversight.
  3. Effectively use supply chain systems to support business needs, including placing RFI/RFPs and purchase orders timely and accurately.
  4. Lead supplier prospecting and drive a commodity strategy that supports the vehicle program.
  5. Negotiate most commercial terms and LTAs with some legal involvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Specific negotiation and technical experience for the assigned commodity
  • Experience developing multi-source strategies tailored to specific semiconductor types
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of semiconductor technology roadmaps
  • Proficient in SAP, Basecamp, and using cost estimating outputs to close should-cost gaps
  • Professional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to defuse conflicts and provide feedback to peers
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope, evaluating identifiable factors to find solutions and exercising good judgment
  • Comfortable receiving general instructions on new assignments and managing day-to-day work with independence
