Senior GPU Compiler Development Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Beijing, China · Engineering

AMD is seeking an MLIR compiler engineer to represent and lower deep-learning operators for LLMs and vision models on AMD GPUs. The role involves architecting dynamic-graph IR lowering, implementing operator definitions, building runtime reporting, and contributing to MLIR dialect conventions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help architect the dynamic-graph IR lowering on a single graph
  2. Implement operator definitions and MLIR lowerings for attention and control-flow operators required by new models
  3. Build model- and operator-level runtime-status reporting and analyze graph-optimizer behavior
  4. Contribute to MLIR dialect conventions and the operator-add checklist; review operator-lowering work
  5. Stay informed of compiler, algorithm, and architecture trends and apply them to the IR stack
