Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Group Leader for Distribution in their Vision Care team in Jacksonville, FL. This role oversees the daily performance of a third-party logistics provider (3PL), managing productivity, service, inventory accuracy, cost, and overall distribution performance. The Senior Group Leader acts as the primary operational contact for the 3PL, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include daily oversight of 3PL operations, managing the 3PL relationship, monitoring KPIs, implementing process improvements, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting business growth initiatives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide daily oversight of 3PL operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and inventory control
  2. Manage the 3PL relationship with clear expectations for productivity, service, accuracy, and cost performance
  3. Monitor daily workflow, labor planning, order volume, and staffing to ensure timely and efficient execution
  4. Lead daily and weekly operating reviews with the 3PL to address performance gaps and improvement opportunities
  5. Monitor KPIs including throughput, on time service, inventory accuracy, quality, and cost per unit

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Five or more years of experience in distribution center operations or 3PL management
  • Strong understanding of DC processes including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
  • Experience managing 3PLs with clear accountability for service, cost, and operational performance
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills to influence external partners
  • Experience with WMS systems and operational reporting tools
