Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (gnc) Engineer, Manuever Dominance - Rotorcraft

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Air Dominance & Strike : Air Dominance & Strike Vehicle Software : Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC)

This role focuses on developing, implementing, and testing Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) systems for air vehicle platforms in the defense industry. The engineer will work on autonomous safety-critical systems, design GNC architectures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Experience with classical and modern control theory, flight dynamics, and simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, implement, and test algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control systems in line with project requirements.
  2. Design, implement, and assess the GNC architectures considering all elements, including vehicle, sensors, actuators, and algorithms.
  3. Participate in all phases of system development, from concept to design, prototyping, testing, and operation.
  4. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including systems engineers, flight software engineers, mission autonomy engineers, and test engineers to ensure system-wide integration and performance.
  5. Contribute to design reviews, safety assessments, and system documentation.
