Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +1

Senior Hardware Engineer for Pixel Watch focusing on Electromagnetic and Signal/Power Integrity. Responsibilities include leading EM simulations, correlation studies, debugging, and optimizing hardware performance for next-generation wearable technology. Requires experience in EM modeling tools and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead comprehensive EM simulations at both the component and system levels, with a focus on passive mode extraction and overall system performance analysis.
  2. Perform detailed correlation studies between simulation models and bench lab measurements to ensure and maintain high-fidelity simulation accuracy.
  3. Deliver targeted simulations and DOEs (Design of Experiments) to assist cross-functional teams with EM-related debugging, root-cause analysis, and hardware optimization.
  4. Conduct Pixel Watch Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SIPI) simulations in the frequency domain, focusing on Power Delivery Network (PDN) analysis and optimization.
  5. Provide data-driven analysis to actively support, guide, and validate high-level architecture decisions. Develop and define EM design rules and routing guidelines to successfully integrate next-generation sensors.
