Senior Hardware Engineer – Ethernet Switch

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to support the development, bring up, and testing of Ethernet switch hardware. The role involves collaborating with partners, customers, and internal R&D teams to address technical issues and provide solutions, as well as contributing feedback on product requirements and improvements. The ideal candidate will have a BSc/MSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 5+ years of HW development experience including high-speed PCBs, and experience in electro-optics and photonics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the development, bring up, and test of Ethernet switch hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  2. Collaborate with partners, customers and internal RnD teams to address technical issues, provide solutions, and ensure successful integration.
  3. Provide constructive feedback to engineering teams regarding product requirements and improvements.
  4. Leverage network knowledge and data center experience to contribute to the development and improvement of our Ethernet switch solutions.

Skills

Required

  • BSc/MSc degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of HW development experience at a technology company, including high-speed multi-layer PCBs.
  • Experience in electro-optics and photonics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in English and in customer-facing settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with both internal teams (RnD, Product etc) and customers.

Nice to have

  • Proven capability to work independently and lead projects.
  • Proven experience in Ethernet switch hardware development, bring-up, and testing.
  • Experience in co-packaged optic (CPO) systems.
  • Background in network engineering or data center operations.
  • A demonstrated track record of influencing product direction and solving critical issues.
