The Networking Application Engineering team at NVIDIA is looking for a motivated, experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join us in supporting groundbreaking network technologies. In this role, you will have a significant impact on both our business and the technology ecosystem, working closely with customers and R&D teams to shape the future of supercomputing and networking.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the integration of our latest Network Interface Cards (NICs) with major cloud providers.
- Assist with the deployment of new supercomputer technologies and data centers.
- Build and maintain customer trust by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams to develop and refine features based on customer requirements.
- Lead efforts to resolve complex and high-profile customer issues.
- Provide constructive feedback to engineering and marketing teams regarding product requirements.
What we need to see:
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in hardware development, including high-speed (10 GHz and higher) multilayer PCBs and SI.
- Strong networking experience, particularly with NICs and familiarity with Ethernet protocols.
- Knowledge of server topology, PCIe protocol, BMC interfaces, and security aspects.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in English communication and presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with customers.
Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:
- Proven ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Familiarity with PCIe Gen 4.0 and Gen 5.0 protocols.
- Experience with physical layer of network ports and PCIe ports, including SerDes tuning.
- Experience in script or firmware development.
