Senior iOS Engineer focused on connectivity, responsible for designing and implementing software that enables WHOOP wearable sensors to communicate seamlessly with the mobile platform and cloud. This involves developing robust and efficient connectivity experiences, ensuring reliable data flow, and optimizing performance and power efficiency.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, implement, and maintain iOS application components that interface directly with WHOOP hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, or other communication protocols.
  2. Develop background and system-level iOS services that ensure reliable device connectivity, synchronization, and data transfer.
  3. Leverage Swift and Combine to build resilient, efficient, and maintainable reactive pipelines for connectivity and data management.
  4. Collaborate closely with embedded firmware, mobile, and cloud engineers to diagnose and resolve issues across a distributed system.
  5. Drive continuous improvement of performance, power efficiency, and reliability in the WHOOP connectivity layer.
