Senior IT Analyst Applications (Warehousing & Distribution Centre Business Analyst) role focused on gathering and documenting user requirements, supporting development and testing of new products/services, analyzing competitor offerings, and defining technical specifications for warehousing and distribution center operations. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to translate operational needs into functional requirements for WMS, ERP, and automation technologies, and supporting configuration and optimization of warehousing systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Gathers and documents user/client requirements, supports the development and testing of new products or services, collects feedback from clients, and recommends improvements.
  2. Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products; Analyzing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades.
  3. Conducting market research to do a comparative analysis of competitor offerings and provide recommendations for developing a more effective product/service.
  4. Identifying user/client requirements for a product or service and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams.
  5. Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance; Participating in initiatives to improve processes efficiency and employee productivity.
  6. Analyze and document end‑to‑end warehouse and distribution center processes—including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and returns—to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  7. Partner with warehouse managers, DC supervisors, logistics, transportation, and inventory stakeholders to translate operational needs into clear functional requirements for WMS, ERP, warehouse mobility, and automation technologies.
  8. Support configuration and optimization of warehousing systems (e.g., location strategies, picking methods, labor standards, wave planning, yard and dock management) to improve throughput, accuracy, and service levels.
  9. Define and validate business rules, data models, KPIs, and reports related to inventory accuracy, order cycle time, fill rate, dock‑to‑stock, and labor productivity, while leading UAT and change activities to ensure adoption of standard, repeatable warehouse processes.
