Senior It Infrastructure Engineer (cloud Infrastructure Eng)

This role is for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer focused on cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure) and automation. The engineer will configure and optimize platforms, build IaC using GitHub, develop automation workflows leveraging AI tooling, manage integrations via REST APIs, and support IAM and data control standards. The role operates within an AI-first environment but does not directly build or ship AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Configure and optimize IT infrastructure platforms across cloud environments (GCP and Azure), contributing to architectural and configuration decisions in line with established best practices and standards
  2. Build and maintain IaC using GitHub for version control, and develop automation workflows, leveraging AI tooling to reduce manual operations
  3. Design and manage systems and application integrations using REST APIs
  4. Support IAM architecture, identity engineering initiatives, and data control standards for IT-managed systems
  5. Respond to and resolve IT infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely root cause analysis and documentation

Skills

Required

  • 6 –10 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tooling (e.g., Terraform) and GitHub
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP or Azure)
  • Strong background in system integrations and REST API management
  • Experience with identity platforms and directory services (Azure AD/Entra ID and GWS IAM)
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones with distributed teams

Nice to have

  • Experience working in an AI-first or AI-assisted engineering environment
  • Experience in a SaaS-first or cloud-native company environment
  • Exposure to zero-trust security models and SSO/SCIM provisioning
  • Familiarity with ITSM tooling (e.g., Jira Service Management)
