Upstart is an AI lending marketplace that partners with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit. This role supports the operations of core business verticals, managing workflows and tasks to ensure loan applications move smoothly and accurately through the process. The Senior Loan Processor will review applicant information, maintain system notes, and collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows and borrower experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support various operational workflows related to loan processing, closing coordination, and post-close documentation.
  2. Manage and prioritize a personal pipeline of loan files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely movement through the process.
  3. Review applicant-submitted information and documentation, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and follow up as needed.
  4. Maintain clear, detailed notes in systems such as Vesta and Salesforce to ensure visibility across the team.
  5. Collaborate with teammates across Pods, Quality, and Training to identify opportunities to improve workflows and borrower experience.
