Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Local Operations Manager for Solid Tumor Oncology. This role is responsible for US country-level site performance and operational delivery across the entire clinical trial lifecycle, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with global objectives. The manager will support country operational strategy, mentor other managers, and directly manage strategic sites. Responsibilities include accountability for site operational delivery, local project planning for recruitment and data quality, contributing to US trial operational strategy, monitoring KPIs, resolving escalations, and representing US local operations in meetings. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline and at least 2 years of experience in clinical trial operations, trial management, site management, or clinical monitoring are required, with a strong preference for oncology trial experience and knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Accountable for US site level operational delivery for assigned sites and trials from feasibility through closeout.
  2. As appropriate, supports and coordinates local trial team activities in compliance with SOPs, other procedural documents, and applicable regulations.
  3. Responsible for local project planning activities to meet recruitment targets and to deliver high quality data on time and within study budget, including but not limited to: development of local trials specific procedures and tools, recruitment planning, contingency and risk management, and budget forecasting.
  4. Contributes to US trial operational strategy and integrates site insights into global feasibility and startup planning.
  5. May serve as the primary US operational interface to global trial leadership.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical trial operations, trial management, site management, or clinical monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience in oncology trial operations
  • In-depth understanding of the clinical development process and end-to-end trial delivery
  • Expertise in feasibility, startup strategy, enrollment execution, quality oversight, and closeout
  • Strong and applied knowledge of GCP, regulatory requirements, inspection readiness, and compliance

Nice to have

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degrees are an advantage
  • Significant experience in complex, high-priority, or multi-site trials
