Senior Localization Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA +1 · Remote

Senior Localization Engineer for Autonomous Vehicles at NVIDIA, focusing on building robust map-enhanced autonomous driving solutions with ASIL safety requirements. The role involves localizing to map data for precise environmental modeling, ensuring algorithms perform across diverse data and conditions, and writing efficient C++ code using CUDA for GPGPU programming, with a focus on productizing software for automotive standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and build robust and accurate solutions for map enhanced autonomous driving with ASIL safety requirements in mind.
  2. Localize to map data to provide the most precise and rich model of the environment around the car, including beyond the horizon of perception.
  3. Make sure our algorithms work well on large amounts of real and synthetic data, in a diverse range of environments and conditions.
  4. Write safe, highly efficient real-time code in C++, making use of algorithmic parallelism offered by GPGPU programming in CUDA.
  5. Productize all software for real-world deployment to consumer cars, following automotive quality and safety standards (MISRA, ISO26262).
