What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement machine vision for automation systems, quality inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring
  2. Specify, procure, validate, and sustain vision system components including cameras, lenses, lighting, controllers, and software
  3. Oversee the installation, validation, and commissioning of vision systems in production environments across multiple product lines
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate high-precision inspection systems into production lines and automation systems
  5. Lead efforts into RCCA on vision systems and process failures

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • 4+ years of experience in developing and maintaining vision systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing vision system platforms (Cognex, Keyence, iRVision, Halcon) and programming languages (Python, C++, OpenCV)
  • Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, optics, and lighting principles
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems including PLC / robot integration
