Senior Maintenance Supervisor

This role is for a Senior Maintenance Supervisor at Ford, responsible for leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality of production equipment, managing spare parts, participating in failure analysis, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires experience in troubleshooting technical issues, supervising teams, and knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems.
  2. Validate and bridge operational needs as required to ensure the line is running safely, efficiently, and producing quality parts at rate.
  3. Cascade communication and provide team recognition.
  4. Establish and build Team Leader and Team Member capabilities.
  5. Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting technical issues in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years automotive experience
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Prior experience assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following safety, quality, and throughput processes.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking, problem-solving, and conflict leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with constraint management principles
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of PLC logic and controls
  • Familiarity with FIS and Maximo
  • Knowledge of both production and maintenance processes
