What you'd actually do

  1. Establish and lead annual statutory audit plans with external auditors, managing resources, schedules, and timelines
  2. Ensure the team is equipped with current knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP), ESG, and statutory requirements
  3. Coordinate with internal departments (Controllership, Tax, Payroll, PTP, FBP, Legal) on audit queries and financial statement requirements for filings or cash repatriation
  4. Monitor statutory audit and tax return dashboards, ensuring deadlines are met
  5. Ensure reconciliation of local statutory to US GAAP, local financial reports, and tax returns, with accurate entries in SAP
